Launch of the Green Jobs Taskforce’s Report to Government, industry and the skills sector

This event launched the Green Jobs Taskforce’s report to Government, industry and the skills sector, with keynote speeches from Minister Trevelyan and Minister Keegan. It set out key recommendations to maximise job creation and skill up the workforce as the UK economy embarks on a major transition to achieve net zero emissions and reverse the decline in the natural environment.

Attendees heard the recommendations of the report from Taskforce members themselves, with four report leads discussing its findings and reaction from ministers representing the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and the Department for Education (DfE).

This report represents a call to arms across the green jobs lifecycle towards preparing the UK workforce for net zero, while also delivering the jobs and just transition needed to provide economic benefits across the UK.
