Aldersgate Group response: A policy framework to grow the market for low-carbon industrial products

Aldersgate Group has submitted a response to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero’s technical consultation on developing a policy framework to expand the market for low-carbon industrial products.

Drawing on insights from our cross-sector membership, the response outlines our position on the government’s proposals for an embodied emissions reporting framework, product classifications, and green procurement. We also set out recommendations for additional measures to strengthen the low-carbon product market, such as introducing ecolabels to guide buyers, implementing emissions-based regulations, and establishing mandatory product standards.
