Synopsis

The upcoming Spending Review will be a critical moment for the future direction of the government. The decisions made in this announcement will set out plans for future funding at a challenging economic and geopolitical moment.

It’s vital that the Chancellor of the Exchequer takes steps in this intervention to support the government’s goal of delivering net zero while driving economic growth. Businesses recognise that the clean power target, warm homes plan, industrial strategy and other climate and environmental plans have significant growth potential.

To ensure success, this Spending Review must provide support for key areas of decarbonisation from renewables, to the built environment, and industry. This should be supplemented by effective support for important mechanisms such as regulatory enforcement and the planning system.

This webinar will discuss the outcome of the Review, and what must come next to ensure the UK remains on track to deliver net zero, boost energy security, and generate growth.
