Josie leads the Group’s work on green finance and focuses in particular on “greening finance”, or policies which can help to embed consideration of climate and nature into investment decision-making. As part of this work she is a deputy member of the Green Technical Advisory Group, which advises government on the development of the UK Green Taxonomy, and the Transition Plans Taskforce. She also looks after the Group’s work on delivering a sustainable marine environment for energy and nature, and feeds into the Group’s work on the creation of natural capital markets, planning reform, and skills.
Prior to the Aldersgate Group, Josie worked at Penguin Books. She holds an MSc in Environment & Development from the University of Edinburgh, where she wrote her dissertation on determinants of funding allocation in the Green Climate Fund.
